Fitting

Light Coupling

RoHS2 Compliant

The Light Coupling is small and light weight, which enable attach and detach with only one hand.
Compatible with other manufacturer's couplings.

Resin
  • PBT is used for the main resin parts. PBT: A standard resin material that is ideal for general environments.
Metal
  • Brass with electroless nickel plating is used for the main metal parts.
Seal rubber
  • NBR is used for the seal rubber material. NBR: A material generally used as a sealing material. Please note that it is inferior in ozone resistance.

Advantages

The Light Coupling is small and light weight, which enable attach and detach with only one hand.
Compatible with other manufacturer's couplings.

The socket comes with a flow-shut mechanism.

The flow-shut mechanism in socket stops air flow with the removal of the plug.

The plug comes in not only the normal type but the silencer type and the check valve type.

As for 20 series, the silencer type reduces the noise and shock at the release of residual pressure, where as the check valve type does not allow the flow of the residual pressure.

E3 and E7 series have compact design permitting piping in a limited space.

E3 and E7 series have compact design.

Best suitable for the piping where connection and disconnection of air line is frequently conducted.

Specifications

Connection size:E3, E7

Fluid medium Air, Water(Conditional*)
Max. operating pressure 0.9MPa
Max. vacuum -100kPa
Operating temp. range 0~60℃(No freezing)

Warnings

* Make sure to follow the instructions below when the fluid medium is water.

Surge pressure must be controlled lower than max. operating pressure when using water as a fluid medium.

Tap water in Japan free from foreign substances or contamination can be used. Carry out the evaluation under an actual operating condition for using other kind of water.

Detailed Safety Instructions

Warning

1.When the fluid medium is water, do not use fittings unless the operating environment meets all the described specifications in the catalog. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the products, the escape of tubes and a fluid leakage.

2.Before uncoupling a plug except check valve built-in type and silencer type, make sure that there is no air pressure in the tube and water temperature is low. In case the pressure still remains in the tube or water temperature is high, it may cause personal injury or a burn.

3.Do not touch the sleeve on the socket side during the compressed air is supplied. The air can be released by physical contact.

4.Use coupling module (QMC) with Bracket, when many modules are connected or bending load is applied on them. Connected equipment side or coupling module can be damaged without Bracket.

Caution

1.To lock the coupling, push the plug into the socket until it stops. It may cause the disconnection of the plug if it is installed incompletely. After locking, pull the plug toward oneself moderately to make sure it fixes properly.

2.When uncoupling the plug with a check valve or a silencer, be careful that the plug may jump out due to internal pressure, causing personal injury.

3.Use the main block spanners when assembling or disassembling. It may cause a difficulty to assemble or deformation of Main Block without using these spanners.
