Detailed Safety Instructions
Warning
1.Do not apply load such as pulling, twisting, bending, dropping, or excessive impact to the product. Do not step on top of the product or place any objects on it. It may result in injury or damage to the product as a result of fall accident, tipping or dropping.
2.Use with pressures, temperatures and fluids within the specification range. Use outside the specification range may result in unexpected accidents or malfunctions.
3.When the air tank is fully closed, internal pressure may rise due to temperature rise or distortion (such as crushing). In addition, use of pressure exceeding the operating pressure range may cause damage to the tank. Use a pressure sensor or similar device and take safety measures to keep the internal pressure within the specification range.
4.For use in Japan, when the pressure inside the air tank is 1 MPa or more at room temperature, the "High Pressure Gas Safety Act" applies. However, use within its specifications of this product is outside the scope of the "High Pressure Gas Safety Act" in Japan.
5.If the product is to be used outside of Japan, check the laws and regulations of the country of use and confirm that they are applicable.
6.Avoid using fluids outside specifications. This may cause deterioration or damage to the unit.
7.Do not apply an external pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. It may cause damage to the product.
8.Perform maintenance and inspection only after turning off the air, and confirming that the pressure inside the piping has become zero.
9.Unexpected accidents may occur due to external damage or internal corrosion caused by drains. Periodically check for breakage and damage on the outside and corrosion on the inside, or use a plate thickness gauge to check the decrease in plate thickness.
10.If condensate accumulates in the air tank, it may lead to internal corrosion and drainage outflow into the piping. Drain the condensate according to the usage conditions.
Caution
1.Do not install the air tank in a moving or vibrating area. It may cause material fatigue, loosening of the mounting part, or damage.
2.When tightening the threaded body of the connecting fittings, refer to the tightening torque in following table and the allowable torque of the tool. Failure to tighten the threaded body with proper torque may result in damage to the product or tool, loosening of the thread, or leakage.
3.This product is intended for use only with compressed air and nitrogen (fluid group 2: PED 2014/68/EU).
4.Make sure that all compressed air in the system has been exhausted before installation.
5.The inside of the air tank still contains an oxide film from the manufacturing process. When using the product in a clean environment, provide a filter that meets the specifications between the tank and the equipment used.
6.When installing the connection fitting, use the appropriate tool using the hexagonal-column of the fitting.
7.When mounting, please use the 4 or 2 mounting holes on the bottom of the product (ATS-0.4 and ATS-0.75 are attached with a fixing clip) to fix the product securely.
8.When a fitting is connected to the drain outlet of a 5 liter or larger models, it may interfere with the floor depending on the fitting to be connected. Use the mounting method that allows the fitting to escape.
9.Use the optional dedicated G thread fitting for the connection.
10.Visual inspection and leak check should be performed once a year, and if there is external damage or corrosion, the product should be replaced. If there is a leak, check the connections and connecting parts, or replace them if necessary.
Frequently Asked Questions for Air Preparation Series
Fiber Dryer can dehumidify inert gases such as oxygen except for pure oxygen, nitrogen, helium, and argon.
However, since our Fiber Dryer release a part of the fluid medium to the atmosphere as purge air, the discharged gas fills the space surrounding the dryer and at worst, it can cause an accident. To prevent the risk, straight type dryer (DMB type) or flexible type dryer (DMF type) shall be used, and supply compressed air to the purge air port from a different circuit.
Besides, the push-in fitting connected to Fiber Dryer may leak gas depending on circumstances. Taking these points into consideration, decide to use or not to use the product by user's responsibility.
The dehumidification principle by hollow fiber film of Fiber Dry is like this; when flowing compressed air in the filter, only moisture go through the membrane to outside, then dry air comes out from the exit.
Some part of the dry air is diverted as purge air. The purge air removes
water-vapor inside the hollow fiber filter and inner casing by sweeping
over the outer surface of the filter and carrying vapor to the outside.
Thus hollow fiber filter is kept at low steam concentration which allows it
to dehumidify continuously.
Fiber Dryer has the function of purge air flow-control, and it can control
the dryness of available dry air.
The much the purge flow is (=The higher the percentage of purge is),
the higher the dryness.

The dew point means the temperature which the moisture in gas (air, gas) becomes water drops. We can call it "dew-point temperature" as well. It is used to indicate the amount of moisture in gas because dew-point temperature changes according to the amount of moisture in gas.
The lower the dew-point temperature is, the less the moisture is (= it means dry), and the higher the dew-point temperature is, the more the moisture is (it means humid).
Besides, the higher the gas pressure is, the higher the dew-point temperature becomes. Compressed air contains much amount of moisture (drain). If it is used as it is, it causes corrosion of pneumatic equipment such as cylinders or solenoid valves. Therefore, drying compressed air is necessary.
