Detailed Safety Instructions
Warning
1.The product is not explosion-proof. Do not use in place where explosive-proof is required.
2.The product is not drip-proof and dust-proof.
3.The product is intended to measure target and does not have any control function for the purpose of accident prevention or other safety assurance.
Caution
1.The applicable media of GPH-V/-S are air and non-corrosive gas. Use with water or corrosive fluids may result in failure. The applicable medium of GPH-B is gas and liquid that do not corrode SUS316L. Use on corrosive media may cause injury or failure. Also, do not use flammable gas as it is not explosion-proof.
2.The measuring pressure should be within the specified pressure range. Applying more than the maximum pressure may cause a malfunction.
3.Be careful not to allow foreign matter to enter the pressure port. If any foreign matter gets inside, it may cause malfunction or air leakage. If there is a possibility of contamination, please use through a filter or similar.
4.Be careful of accidents caused by the strap. When using with the strap attached, intentionally swinging the product by holding the strap may result in an unexpected accident, injury, or damage to the product. When using the product, hold the main body firmly in your hand.
5.When tightening and fixing the push-in fitting to the pressure port, use a tightening torque of 1 to 1.5 N-m.
6.When using the analogue output function, applying voltage or signals to the CAL terminal due to mis-wiring of the connector, etc. may cause a malfunction. Also, be careful not to lose the battery compartment lid.
7.The protective cover is made of silicone rubber. Do not use in media that corrode the silicone rubber. The protective cover is also used to protect the unit from leaks when attaching and detaching fittings and tubes.
8.Perform regular maintenance and inspections. Before using the product, make sure that the product operates properly. Unexpected malfunction or failure of the product may result in the failure to display normal readings or to provide adequate functionality.
9.Use the specified battery. The use of non-specified batteries may cause malfunction.
10.The batteries must be inserted in the correct direction.Incorrect orientation of the battery may cause the battery to explode or leak, resulting in a malfunction or accident. When not in use for a long time, always remove the batteries and store them separately to prevent leakage.
11.Wipe off any stains on the product with a soft cloth. If the product gets dirty, wipe it off with a cloth soaked in neutral detergent diluted with water and wrung out well, then finish with a dry cloth. In that case, take care not to let the neutral detergent solution get into the pressure port or inside the unit. It may cause malfunction.
12.When storing the protective cover, keep it in a dark place at normal temperature and humidity. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays may cause deterioration and discoloration.
Frequently Asked Questions for Pressure Sensor & Switch Series
If the pressure is not displayed on the separate display, check the following.
1)
Incorrect connection (wiring) of the connector cable
2)
Is the sensor head "analog output type"?
(Please note that the pressure indicator cannot be used with the "switch output type" sensor head.)
3)
Does the sensor type setting match the rated pressure range of the sensor head (sensor input specifications)?
Does the sensor type settings ("C-1 (compound pressure)", "C-2 (positive pressure)", "C-3 (negative pressure)") match the rated pressure range (sensor input specifications) of your sensor head ? Please check if they match. If you set a different sensor type, the correct value will not be displayed.
SED-31 sensor type setting and recommended sensor head (Reference: Excerpt from our catalog)
「C-1(compound pressure)」 VUS11-□AR
「C-2(positive pressure )」 VUS11-□A、VUS12-□A
「C-3(negative pressure)」 SEU11-□A

Damaged sensor head
If a voltage higher than the power supply (V) of the sensor head and display is applied, the sensor head and display may be damaged, and as a result, the pressure may not be displayed on the pressure display. Be sure to use it within the range of the power supply (V) of the sensor head.
