Detailed Safety Instructions
Caution
1.For the sensor head of the display unit (SED-31), use type VUS11...A, VUS12...A or SEU11...A. If the specifications of the sensor head are different, the display accuracy may not meet the specifications.
2.When adjusting the pressure of the 12 series sensors with switch output, refer to the following figure and use the supplied small screwdriver to gently turn the sensor without applying excessive force.
3.If other devices are connected to the same power supply as this sensor, and the SW output terminal is short-circuited with minus (-) terminal by a load operation test switch or the like while the minus (-) terminal (COM) is disconnected, the reverse current will flow to switch output circuit and the sensor will be damaged. When using this type of circuit, install a diode to prevent reverse current on the minus (-) side power supply line or on the SW output line in the direction shown in the Fig. 2.
4.When setting the pressure and differential response, use a small screwdriver and gently turn the trimmer within its rotation range without applying excessive force. Applying excessive force may cause damage to the trimmer and to the circuit board.
5.Precautions for mounting the main unit (Thread type small pressure sensor 11 & 12 series) (1) Tighten the thread using the hexagonal-column of the main unit with an appropriate tool. (2) When tightening the threaded body, refer to the tightening torque in the table blow and the allowable torque of the tool. Failure to tighten the threaded body with proper torque may result in damage to the product or tool, loosening of the thread, or leakage.
6.Precautions for removing the main unit (Thread type small pressure sensor 11 & 12 series) (1) Remove the main unit by using the hexagonal-column of the main unit and using an appropriate tool. (2) Remove the sealant or a foreign substance on the removed mating thread. If the sealant adheres to the peripheral device, it may get into the devices and cause a malfunction.
7.Since the sensor head connector ACPG-31-CN1 is a crimp terminal, it is not necessary to remove the lead wire insulation when wiring. Wiring with the insulation removed may result in a short circuit.
Frequently Asked Questions for Pressure Sensor & Switch Series
If the pressure is not displayed on the separate display, check the following.
1)
Incorrect connection (wiring) of the connector cable
2)
Is the sensor head "analog output type"?
(Please note that the pressure indicator cannot be used with the "switch output type" sensor head.)
3)
Does the sensor type setting match the rated pressure range of the sensor head (sensor input specifications)?
Does the sensor type settings ("C-1 (compound pressure)", "C-2 (positive pressure)", "C-3 (negative pressure)") match the rated pressure range (sensor input specifications) of your sensor head ? Please check if they match. If you set a different sensor type, the correct value will not be displayed.

Damaged sensor head
If a voltage higher than the power supply (V) of the sensor head and display is applied, the sensor head and display may be damaged, and as a result, the pressure may not be displayed on the pressure display. Be sure to use it within the range of the power supply (V) of the sensor head.
