Detailed Safety Instructions
Warning
1.Never use the product in an explosive gas atmosphere. Since it is not an explosion-proof structure, it may cause an explosion or fire.
2.Do not use in corrosive gas atmospheres such as sulphurous gas.
3.Never use with flammable fluids.
4.Wiring must be carried out with the power switched off.
5.Use a stabilized DC power supply within the rating, insulated from the AC power supply. An uninsulated power supply may cause an electric shock hazard. If the power supply is not stabilized, the peak voltage value may exceed the rating, which may damage the product or deteriorate the accuracy.
Caution
1.This product does not conform to the Measurement Act and should not be used for commercial transactions. Use as an industrial sensor.
2.When using this product for suction confirmation, be sure to install an air filter upstream of the suction side to prevent foreign matter from being sucked.
3.When using for suction confirmation or the like, use it under conditions that do not cause condensation in the piping, taking into account the dew point in the air and the ambient temperature of the product.
4.When using it for vacuum applications such as air intake, do not bend it near the push-in fitting. If stress is applied to the tube near the push-in fitting, insert the Insert-ring into the tube and then insert it into the push-in fitting.
5.If vibration or impact of 100 m / sec2 or more is applied when using or transporting the product, the flow rate to analog output voltage characteristics may fluctuate or the product may fall off from the holder. Therefore, do not apply excessive vibration or impact. give me.
6.Install this product and wiring as far away from noise such as strong power lines.
7.Surge currents or reverse currents if generated may cause damage to the product.
8.Do not apply repeated bending or tensile force to the lead wires. It may cause wiring disconnection.
9.The flow rate to analog output voltage characteristics of this product may fluctuate when external force is applied. Do not apply any external force such as pinching to the product when using it.
10.Do not apply stress to the connector during use.The internal circuit board and body may be deformed, causing output changes and external leakage.
11.Ambient temperature and fluid temperature must be within the range 0 - 50°C. Even within the temperature range, do not use in areas where the ambient temperature or fluid temperature may change rapidly and condensation may occur.
12.Use within the specification range, as use above or below the maximum or minimum operating pressure or outside the operating flow rate range may cause failure.
13.Do not install in a place with moisture, salt, dust and chips, and in a pressurized or depressurized environment. This product is not suitable for use in areas of extreme temperature change or high humidity, where condensation inside the unit may cause damage.
14.Applicable fluids are air and nitrogen gas. Do not use with other fluids, as the specifications cannot be guaranteed.
15.Use dry gas that does not contain corrosive components such as chlorine, sulfur, or acid, and clean gas that does not contain dust or oil mist.
16.Compressed air from the compressor contains condensate (water, oxidised oil, foreign matter, etc.), therefore a filter, oil mist filter and air dryer should be installed on the primary side (IN side) of the sensor. The mesh (wire mesh) inside the sensor is used to rectify the flow in the pipe. Be sure to install a filter as it is not a filter for removing foreign matter.
17.If a valve is used on the primary side (IN side) of the sensor, use a valve with a non-lubricant specification. Some valves may generate abrasive dust, install a filter before use.
18.The output accuracy is affected by the temperature characteristics as well as the self-heating caused by the current flow. When using the product, be sure to provide a standby time (at least 5 minutes) after energization.
19.Check the unit at least once a year to make sure it is working properly. The output voltage is ±6%F.S. in one direction from the initial value under our measurement conditions. (This is the definition of the amount of change in the results of our reliability tests.) It is recommended to check the operation periodically.
20.The case is made of resin. Do not use solvents, alcohol or cleaning agents to remove dirt or other contaminants. There is a risk of damaging the resin.
Frequently Asked Questions for Pressure Sensor & Switch Series
If the pressure is not displayed on the separate display, check the following.
1)
Incorrect connection (wiring) of the connector cable
2)
Is the sensor head "analog output type"?
(Please note that the pressure indicator cannot be used with the "switch output type" sensor head.)
3)
Does the sensor type setting match the rated pressure range of the sensor head (sensor input specifications)?
Does the sensor type settings ("C-1 (compound pressure)", "C-2 (positive pressure)", "C-3 (negative pressure)") match the rated pressure range (sensor input specifications) of your sensor head ? Please check if they match. If you set a different sensor type, the correct value will not be displayed.
SED-31 sensor type setting and recommended sensor head (Reference: Excerpt from our catalog)
「C-1(compound pressure)」 VUS11-□AR
「C-2(positive pressure )」 VUS11-□A、VUS12-□A
「C-3(negative pressure)」 SEU11-□A

Damaged sensor head
If a voltage higher than the power supply (V) of the sensor head and display is applied, the sensor head and display may be damaged, and as a result, the pressure may not be displayed on the pressure display. Be sure to use it within the range of the power supply (V) of the sensor head.
